The Most Critical Point in Child Development: Equal and Fair Treatment
Hello dear friends. In this video my husband Burak and I talk about the importance of treating children equally. We have two sweet children, a girl and a boy, one older and one younger. As parents we try as much as we can to show both of them equal attention, love and care, because we noticed that this balance is critical for children’s sense of self and for feeling valued.
Everything that happens with the first child draws more attention because it is the first time; with the second child there is an ease that comes with experience. That is exactly where balance matters most. Both children need to feel equally loved, cared for and valued.
