Take a Break from Worry: The 4-7-8 Breathing Exercise

This breathing technique is a simple but powerful tool for slowing the mind, calming the body and returning to balance. How do we do it? We breathe in through the nose for four seconds, hold the breath for seven seconds, and then breathe out slowly through the mouth for eight seconds.

This exercise supports

  • Calming worry
  • Easing repetitive thoughts
  • Relaxing before sleep
  • Opening space for positive thinking

If you are ready, let us try it together now: become quiet, slow down and focus only on your breath.

If you feel dizzy, experience pain or become noticeably uncomfortable during breathwork, stop the exercise and return to your normal breathing.
