Feminine Energy Meditation: How to Practise It at Home, Step by Step

Hello dear friends. Today I would like to share a simple feminine energy meditation you can practise at home. Our days are full of getting things done, are they not? When did you last stop and simply feel? This practice opens a small space for meeting your soft, intuitive side again.

What is feminine energy?

Feminine energy is one of the two energies we are all born with; the other is masculine. The masculine side plans and acts. The feminine side receives, feels and follows intuition. It has nothing to do with gender, and we all carry both. I like to compare it to the soil, which is never in a hurry. It takes the seed in and lets it sprout when the time comes.

How to prepare

You do not need anything special:

  • Choose a quiet corner. A garden, a balcony or a spot by an open window is lovely.
  • Put your phone on silent and wear something comfortable.
  • If you like, light a candle and keep a flower or a crystal beside you.
  • Sit or lie down comfortably, with your back supported.
  • Set an intention before you begin. For example: “Today I intend to listen to myself.”

How to do a feminine energy meditation

Follow the steps at your own pace.

  • Close your eyes and watch your breath. You do not have to change it; simply notice it moving in and out.
  • Place your left hand on your heart and your right hand just below your navel. Feel the warmth of your hands.
  • As you breathe in, let your belly soften and widen. As you breathe out, let your shoulders drop.
  • Imagine a warm orange light below your navel, growing a little wider with each breath.
  • Now picture yourself in nature, barefoot on the earth. The earth is holding you; there is nothing you have to do.
  • If you wish, silently repeat: “I allow myself to receive. I look at myself with tenderness.”
  • When you are ready, gently move your fingers and toes and open your eyes.

Your mind may wander, and that is completely natural; gently come back to your breath. Some people find tears in their eyes, some simply rest. The experience differs from person to person, and even from day to day.

What to do after the meditation

Try not to rush straight back to work. Drink a glass of water, sit quietly for a while and write down what came up. If you can, step outside and stand barefoot on the earth, or rest your hand on a tree. Morning, sunset, and the days of the new and full moon are all beautiful times to practise.

A small note: this meditation is not a treatment. It is an awareness practice. If you have an ongoing health concern, please talk to your doctor.

Practising together in a workshop

If you would like to experience this in a group, we can meet at the Feminine Energy Activation workshop. In one day you work with Goddess, God and Angel cards, get to know the energy of crystals and dance by candlelight to energy music. I lead the meditation. The workshop can be held in English. Write to us for the date and place, and we will get in touch with you.

Five cards laid out on a dark blue cloth, among them Pele, Horus and a Gabriel card
We also work with cards in the workshop.

Şifa Köyü is our farm in Şile, on the Black Sea coast of Istanbul. Guests spend time in glorious nature and share plenty of love with our animals. We cook with our own produce, grown from heirloom seeds and covered by our EU-approved organic farming certificate. There are workshops through the day, and you can buy our produce to take home.

If you try the meditation, I would love to hear how it felt. May the gentle strength inside you always show you the way. With love.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect with my feminine energy?

My suggestion is to notice this energy before trying to raise it. Slowing down, time in nature and a short meditation like this one are a good place to begin. The experience differs from person to person.

Which chakra is linked to feminine energy?

Many traditions associate feminine energy with the sacral chakra, just below the navel, and with the heart chakra. Think of it as the language of belief and symbol.

Is the left side of the body feminine?

Many traditions link the left side of the body with feminine energy and the right side with masculine energy. I use this as a symbol, not as a rule.

Can men practise feminine energy meditation?

Yes. Feminine and masculine energy are not about gender, and all of us carry both. Anyone who would like to slow down and feel can try it.
