Corporate Day at the Farm: Meetings, Seedlings, Nature Walk

Hello dear friends. 🌿 Today I would like to tell you about a corporate day we spent at Şifa Köyü, our organic farm in Şile on the Black Sea coast of Istanbul. The team of an advertising agency spent a full day at the farm with us. They held their meetings here, and they also put their hands in the soil.

The day began with breakfast

We welcomed our guests with breakfast. A long table was laid in the garden, full from one end to the other. Everyone had a white cap on and yellow boots on their feet. Seeing a team from the city like this on the farm always makes me smile.

Meetings outdoors and in the stone house

Part of the day belonged to the team’s own work. They held their meetings sometimes at the wooden tables in the garden and sometimes in the stone house. There were coloured papers, pens and coffee cups on the tables. Talking in the open air, away from the office, opens a different kind of space, I think.

Seed and seedling workshop

My favourite part of the day was in the greenhouse. First I introduced the plants one by one. Then everyone took a seedling and planted it in the soil with their own hands. After that I gave a seminar on organic produce.

Nature walk, lunch and afternoon tea

We walked through the farm together and visited the fields and the greenhouse. Some even climbed onto the tractor trailer. Lunch was in the garden again, and the day closed with afternoon tea. On the stall was the produce of the day: peppers, beans and eggs.

It was a very enjoyable day. When a team sits at the same table and touches the same soil, I believe it brings a closeness that is not easy to build in a meeting room.

Yes. Teams can hold their meetings at the tables in the garden or in the stone house. The rest of the day can be combined with a workshop and a walk.
