There are also options where the team makes something together or closes the year with a quiet gathering. What happens in a candle making workshop at the office?

The workshop opens with a short breathing exercise. Then everyone melts the wax, chooses a colour and a scent, and pours the candle into a mould. While the candles set, the group talks about the intention each one will be lit with: a wish, a thank-you, an intention. At the end of the year that conversation may also turn to the year that is closing and the one ahead. Everyone goes home with the candle they made.

What to arrange in advance:

• Number of people: materials and the flow are planned around it.
• Materials: planned together. Some companies provide the materials themselves.
• Space: where in the office the workshop will take place is decided together with our team.
• Heat source: where and how the wax is melted is discussed with our team beforehand, taking your building’s rules into account.
• Sensitivities: let us know beforehand if anyone is sensitive to a material or a scent.
• Language: the workshop can be run in Turkish or in English.

What is a year-end goals and affirmation workshop like?

The end of the year is a natural stop in the calendar for talking about goals. In the affirmation workshop each team member sets a goal of their own, talks through the concrete steps they can take towards it, and leaves with affirmation sentences they wrote themselves. The techniques are practised by writing, drawing and repeating. The workshop can be held at the office or at Şifa Köyü.

What to arrange in advance:

• Space: a quiet room where everyone can sit and write.
• Number of people and language: the flow is set accordingly.
• Preparation: participants think ahead of a goal they would like to work on.

What other year-end activities can be done at the office?

• Healing Art (finger painting): after a short breathing exercise the team paints on canvas with their fingertips, without brushes. No one needs to know how to paint, and the paintings stay with the participants. Paint and canvas are planned together, and some companies provide them themselves.
• Sound bath and meditation: it starts with a short breathing exercise, then the team lies down and listens to crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls and a gong. It closes with a few minutes of silence. The instruments come with our team. What you arrange is a space where everyone can lie down, mats and comfortable clothes. Let us know beforehand if anyone is sensitive to sound.
• Breath and awareness session: a session held in the team’s own workspace. No equipment is needed. Only the place is discussed.

What is a year-end gathering at the farm like?

We invite your team to Şifa Köyü in Şile. A day at the farm includes meditation and breath work in nature, touching the soil and spending time with the farm’s animals. If you wish, a day with a meal can also be planned, and you can ask our team about the menu.

Another option is a table set in the garden: Merve Tüfekçi sits at the same table as the team, there is no presentation and no speaking order, and people talk about whatever they are curious about. Candle making and finger painting workshops can also be held at the farm.

What to arrange in advance:

• Date: tell us the days that suit your team and the date is set together.
• Transport: whether the team comes to Şile by shuttle or in their own cars is planned on the company side.
• Clothing: December can be cold and rainy. Dressing in layers and choosing shoes suited to walking on soil will make the day easier.
• Flow: you can ask our team how the day will run in that season and which workshop can be added.
• Meal: if you would like a day with a meal, send the number of people and any allergies or dietary preferences beforehand.
